The Journey Begins

Thanks for joining me! Last week, I decided to evolve to a new normal. The stars somewhat aligned and I was able to leave the company I was working for with a decent severance and also retire. Mind you, that I have a loving and supporting wife that puts up with my foolishness so I am doubly blessed that she is happy for me on this new journey.

I will be attempting to capture some of the highlights and ponderings in this blog as things unfold. My current list to tackle are, not necessarily in serial order are: complete the build of the wonderful little sailboat called Scamp, make sure the house and yard is in good repair and order (yes, that is on my list for anyone wondering), make a bunch of Adirondack chairs out of a large stache of boards I have collected, make lots of beads and marbles for friends, make a few more skin-on-frame kayaks and standup paddle boards, work on my digital photography skills, and make some row boats. Oh, also, I am interested to see if I can connect with a family/youth/community center to teach people how to make small boats to help promote a more “analog” way of life and enjoyment in making things.

thus, the new normal begins …
